Wang, Jinning

Jinning Wang is a Senior Software Engineer at GE Vernova, specializing in the intersection of power systems and scalable software solutions. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2025. As an advocate for open-source software, Jinning is the lead developer of AMS, the market engine for the CURENT Large-scale Testbed, which enables complex scheduling-dynamics co-simulation. His research expertise spans power system optimization, transient stability assessment, and high-performance computing. Beyond technical advancements, he is deeply interested in how energy policy and equity will shape the future of the grid.
